The Spectrum Group, Market Harborough
Spectrum became our charity for 2020, just as the first lockdown for Covid-19 was announced!
Spectrum is a Market Harborough based support group for parents and carers of children, young people and adults on the autism spectrum. It is a welcoming, non-judgemental and informal support group which welcomes parents from Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland. In normal circumstances the group meets twice a month to provide support and guidance as well as running family activities throughout the year and raising awareness locally. They plan to run some training sessions for parents and carers when that becomes possible.
Group meetings are held at the Baptist Church, Coventry Road, Market Harborough LE16 9BX

2020 has proved a challenging year for everyone and Songbirds has been unable to perform and raise money for its chosen charity in the normal way. Instead members held a Christmas raffle with a star prize!!
Crocheted Blanket by Songbird member Wendy! This blanket was part of our Christmas Raffle which took place at the Songbirds Christmas Event on December 17th. The blanket was won by Ali, who was absolutely thrilled. The choir was also thrilled because members, family and friends managed to raise £330 for Spectrum in a year without any concerts and any of our normal fundraising activities. |
